Victory Outdoorsmen was established in 2008 to unite hunters, fishermen, and general outdoor enthusiasts in Christlike fellowship while sharing their experiences, knowledge and friendship in God’s great outdoors. Victory Outdoorsmen is a purpose driven group founded on the principal of iron sharpening iron, and a back bone firmly planted in Christian principles while displaying the love of our savior, Jesus Christ.

As we bring men together and forge long lasting relationships, we encourage each other in our daily walk and embrace God’s destiny and purpose for our lives.

Leadership Team

Pastor Dave Drespling - Group Coordinator

Pastor Dave Drespling is an Associate Pastor at Victory Christian Center, with a focus on hospital ministry. He and his wife, Merri Lynn, host “Pond Parties” throughout the summer months at their home in New Castle, PA.

Pastor Dave has been an avid hunter since his youth and has built a reputation of having some of the most talented and well trained bird dogs. These dogs have included several sets of English Setters and Brittany Spaniels, which he has trained himself. He is also a very successful archer and has many trophy bucks to prove it. Pastor Dave has spent much of his life on the waterways of Western PA, pulling many notable trout and bass from the streams using all natural baits.

Pastor Dave played high school baseball, basketball and football for Laurel Sr. High, where he still holds the single season tackle record. He continued his love of sports into his collegiate years. He also was a Little League, Pony League and Colt League Baseball coach, and served as a WPIAL Referee for baseball, football and basketball on the high school and college level.

Larry Cole – Secretary

Larry Cole- Secretary

Larry received his Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education and English and spent 35 years teaching English. Larry is also an ordained minister and played minor league baseball for the Cincinnati Reds. Larry functioned as the Head Coach for the New Wilmington High School baseball team and Batting Coach for Westminster College. In addition to being an avid bow hunter, Larry can often be found speaking on one of his favorite subjects – turkey hunting. His seminars encompass fall and spring turkey hunting, and techniques.

Josh Drespling - Media Director

Josh is 1993 graduate of The Art Institute of Pittsburgh and an accomplished graphic designer, and musician/producer, He has also created and manages Empire Magazine and Kingdom Extreme Magazine an extreme christian music web-zine. He has also had many of his photos used by national news outlets including CNN, Rolling Stone Magazine and Headline News. Josh has his own business which focuses on design, web, print and photography called Majesty Marketing www.MajestyMarketing.net

Mel Booher – Field Agent

Mel is retired from the Boy Scouts of America where he was a camp Ranger for 20 years. Mel has loved the outdoors since his childhood years hunting in Western PA. He enjoys hunting, fishing canoeing and camping. Mel’s favorite activities are archery hunting and black powder hunting. He is also a competitive shooter in area archery tournaments.

Mel has been following Jesus for over 20 years. For many years he and his wife worked with married couples.

Dominic Romeo – Land Manager

Dominic Romeo- Land Manager
Dominic has spent the majority of his life hunting and fishing. He is well schooled in archery and gun hunting, with passions in upland bird: pheasant, quail, grouse, and dove. He is part of the maintenance department at Victory Christian Center. He has had the opportunity to have great men with years of knowledge of the outdoors poured into his life. He is well schooled in the trades, and involved in the prophetic and prayer teams at Victory Christian Center.
